Offers: Situated in southern Namibia, adjacent to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Torgos Lodge offers a serene retreat along the C15 route, just 7 km from the Mata Mata border post. The lodge features six luxurious stone chalets and four luxurious tented chalets, all equipped with self-catering facilities. Guests can enjoy meals in the Lapa, where dinner and breakfast are served, with lunch or lunch packs available upon request. Accommodations can be booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, a bed and breakfast basis, or as self-catering units. The lodge is set in a quintessential Kalahari landscape, characterized by dry riverbeds lined with large camelthorn trees, red sand dunes, and sparse vegetation. Spanning 11,000 hectares, the game camp hosts a diverse range of wildlife, including gemsbok, blue wildebeest, springbok, eland, kudu, and many more species. Bird enthusiasts will also appreciate the abundant birdlife, highlighted by a breeding vulture colony. Torgos Lodge serves as an ideal stopover for tourists traveling to and from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, as well as a perfect destination for a relaxing stay in the Kalahari. Activities available at the lodge include sundowner game drives, unguided walks, and bird watching.

Activities: Torgos Lodge is located just 5 km from the Mata Mata entrance to the park, making it the closest accommodation option. Enjoy a few nights at Torgos and take advantage of day trips into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. A great day trip option is to drive along the Aoub River from Mata Mata to the picnic spot at Kamqua. Here, you can step out of your vehicle, enjoy a picnic, and use the restroom facilities before heading back. Furthermore, at Torgos Lodge itself guests can enjoy a number of activities including the waterhole in the riverbed which attracts a variety of animals, especially in the evenings and early mornings. The waterhole is floodlit at night, providing an excellent opportunity to sit on the terrace and watch the wildlife. Guests can also enjoy the thrill of a sundowner game drive, venturing to the top of a red dune while searching for animals like gemsbok, eland, wildebeest, and springbok. Refreshments and light snacks are included, making it a delightful end to your day. Furthermore guests can enjoy unguided walks, stargazing, and the swimming pool.
